By request: this is what I’m making this afternoon.
2 lbs pinto beans, rinsed clean
1 Tbsp baking soda
4 slices bacon, chopped roughly
1 sweet onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
2-4 serrano peppers, sliced fine (WASH YOUR HANDS)
2 cloves garlic
1 can diced tomatoes (with green chilies if you like)
2 bunches cilantro, chop one bunch now, the other is garnish
